“Some of the members of the team are facing physical problems. Giba and Murilo will not go to Canada. Our concern is that all the players remain in good physical condition during the Olympic Games and we will take every precaution to ensure this”, says Bernardinho.
Despite the fact that he will not play with the national team in the first week of the World League, Giba is satisfied with the progress of his recovery.
The Brazilian captain expects to be able to play the Final of the competition between 4th and 8th of July, in Bulgaria. “I am feeling better. Now I am trying to improve my condition, but without haste, because I do not want to undermine the whole process of recovery. My main concer is to be able to play in the Final of the World League”, says Giba.
The Brazilian national team will have the support of the young players in Toronto. Lucarelli (20) Maurice (23) and Renan (22) will have opportunity to participate in the first week of the World League. “These are the players who showed good performance in the Super League and the team may get extra benefit from them”, says Rezende.
