Brazilian volleyball star decided to make a one-year pause in her professional career. Despite numerous offers from all over the world, she made a firm decision to skip the 2016/17 season.
“I want to be closer to my family and friends after so many years playing volleyball. During all those years, I simply haven’t had enough time for myself and that is why I made such a choice this year. Yes, I have to admit that I already miss volleyball, so I think I will have even bigger desire to play the game when I return on court,” said Sheilla in the interview for gazzetta.it.
She also answered on the question whether she is planning to have a child…
“Why not? Perhaps that may happen next year. You never know. I want to be close to my loved ones. My husband Brenno is a basketball coach in Brasilia, while my family lives in Belo Horizonte. However, I haven’t stopped training. I work with my personal trainer.”
