Caramuru Volei deny that they attacked the squad of Sao Bernardo and state that the guests had the same conditions as all the other teams in the Brazilian Superleague.
Read the full statement of Caramuru Volei:
“We deeply regret the situation that occurred after the match against Sao Bernardo. We guarantee that the security measures were exactly the same like in the matches against Sada Crusiero and Funvic Taubate. The guests had clean bathrooms and clean rooms in the hotel, while the conditions in the gym were perfect. The match however was extremely tense. At the end, head coach of Sao Bernardo Douglas Chiarotti said numerous offensive words to our coach Fabio Sampaio, who did not answer back. At the same time, the squad of Sao Bernardo went too far by their celebration in the dressing room, as they were kicking trash cans and making awful noise. That is the reason why the security had to warn them to calm down. There was no violence in the dressing room. Caramuru Volei are the youngest team in the league and we would never ruin the image of the Brazilian Championship.”
