Sesi had all three points in their pocket as they got themselves a 2-0 lead. But, Corinthians did not give up and forced the matchup to the tie-break in which they lacked strength for a complete comeback – 3-2 (25-18, 25-22, 26-28, 21-25, 15-11).

Alan Souza topped Sesi with 25 points (5 kill blocks). Felipe Fonteles „Lipe“ made 74% reception (23 digs, 4 errors) and 71% attack (17/24, 2 errors, 2 times blocked), while Douglas Souza was even better in reception with 77% (31 digs). Corinthians coach Alexandre Stanzioni could not count on Sidnei Santos „Sidão“, who got a day off to attend the birth of his daughter, which she got with a one-time Olympic winner Danielle Lins „Dani Lins“.

The victory made Sesi fourth-placed with a 15-4 record and 43 points. Corinthians stand in sixth place with a 9-10 record and 27 points.
