Sesi outclassed Taubaté in Round 20 of the 2017/18 Brazilian men’s volleyball championship Superliga in front of rival’s fans who filled the stands of Abaeté gymnasium (3,000 spectators).
These two sides have built a huge local rivalry over the years, both coming from São Paulo state, but Sesi were to „blame“ for the lack of uncertainty in the match last night, 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-18) in less than hour and a half of the clash worth of No.3 in the standings – Sesi 46 points, Taubaté 44 points with each side recording a 16-4.
Alan Souza topped Sesi with 16 points. There were no players with double digits on the losing side with Serbian Marko Ivović scoring eight points.
