Gianlorenzo Blengini’s side was furious against Azimut Modena in rematch of the two Italian titans in the Playoffs 6, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-18). Lube once again confirmed their amazing form this season in which they became Serie A1 Regular Season winners and also confirmed domination over Modena against whom they already have 2-1 in playoffs semifinals back home.

Lube did not give a glimmer of hope to the guests after beating them 3-1 in the 1st leg. Modena were alive only until the first technical time-out in each set. Their attackers, with the exception of a Frenchman Earvin Ngapeth (11 points, 48& attack), had a terrible night: Serbian Nemanja Petrić made 28%, while Luca Vettori made only 25%.

Bulgarian Tsvetan Sokolov and Osmany Juantorena scored 13 points each for Lube, who will meet hosts Sir Safety Perugia in the Final Four in Rome (April 29-30). Zenit Kazan and Berlin Recyclin Volleys make the other semifinal pair.
