In women’s category, Italy barely defeated Belarus 3-2 (27-25, 24-26, 25-22, 19-25, 15-10) while Russia defeated Serbia 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-16) in the match for the third place. In the match for the fifth place, Germany were stronger than Slovenia 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 15-8). Hungary is the seventh.

In the men’s category, Italy defeated France in four sets 25-21, 26-24, 16-25, 25-21 while Russia outplayed the Czech Republic in the straight sets 25-16, 25-15, 25-14. Turkey defeated Belgium 3-2 (20-25, 25-21, 25-17, 18-25, 15-11) in the match for the fifth place. In the match for the seventh place, Poland crushed Hungary 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-17).
