An eight-time Women’s volleyball defending champions of Switzerland, Volero, won the back-to-back trophy in the national Supercup. Thanks to the Cuban Rosir Calderón, who scored 37 points, Volero broke the resistance of their rivals in the finals in Fribourg, which was the rerun of the playoff finals last season, Sm’Aesch-Pfeffingen, 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, 15-5). Maja Storck led the silver medalists with 20 points.
Amriswil
Men’s Supercup finals, which was also held in Fribourg and which was also the rerun of the 2016/17 playoff finals with the same outcome, Volley Amriswil swept Biogas Volley Näfels 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 15-25, 31-29) with 17 points from Sébastien Steigmeier.
