The third-seed Kladno volejbal cz closed the series of the 2017/18 Extraliga semifinals against No.2 Dukla Liberec by a 3-1 as they prevailed in Game 4 in straight sets, partially 25-21, 26-24, 25-19.

A 35-year-old opposite David Konečný had an impressive display for the winning side, which mostly relates to the served aces – 7! All in all, he scored 22 points and was the only player in double digits for Kladno. Tomáš Hýský made 74% reception (19 digs, 1 error, 47% excellent). As for Liberec, Jan Štokr delivered 15 points.

Kladno will contest in their sixth playoff finals, which is an amazing result knowing the fact they were founded only 14 years ago. They have two national titles on their account, so far.

Kladno’s rival in the finals will be No.4 ČEZ Kralovarsko, who eliminated the defending champions VK Jihostroj České Budějovice in the semis.
