France made a comeback against Brazil in their Pool A clash in the 2018 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League Final Six matchup from 1-2 to 3-2 making the fans at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille ecstatic. Pleasing the fans was one of the driving forces for Earvin Ngapeth last night.

“Maybe we put some pressure on ourselves at first but then we released it and played better. The fact that Maurício (Borges) got injured helped us because he is one of the most stable players on their team. Our service was a bit off, it happens, but we knew how to use other skills. Playing here in France is important for us. There were a lot of fans tonight, it felt great. We really wanted to win and that’s what happened. Those fights in the Finals don’t have much to do with the games in the round-robin pool. It will again be a hard struggle against Serbia (tomorrow),” France national team star Ngapeth analyzed the big match against Brazil from all the angles.

The “Les Bleus” will have a day off before facing Serbia in the last round of pool stage.
