Italian media and then Polish have moved the famous expert Vital Heynen to the bench of the Germany Women’s Volleyball National Team. The Belgian laughed at it…

Volleyball.it announced that Heynen will become the new head coach of the Germany Women’s National Team, which would’ve been the first job in women’s volleyball in his coaching career. However, in an interview for Sport.pl, the Belgian expert denied the information that he had signed a contract with the German federation (DVV).

“I’m as surprised as you journalists are at this news. Hahaha. Some people started sending me congratulations. I was completely surprised, I was thinking: for what? And I had to do a web search for my name to see what happened. It turns out someone in Italy wrote the rumor. I can only assure you: this is 100% not true. To be correct in the whole matter, let me explain: I had contact with the federation there. So far, however, no one has made any decision. Neither me nor them. I haven’t signed the contract, it’s not true,” assured Heynen.

The famous 52-year-old coach has been unemployed for three months after his contract with the Polish federation (PZPS) ended. In the meantime, the Poles managed to employ Nikola Grbić in Heynen’s place. The Belgian has already been tied with one national team, with the Spain Men, but he was the ‘victim’ to a joke on the country’s All Fools’ Day, “Día de los Santos Inocentes”, on December 28.
