In the final of the Greek Cup 2012-2013 Olympiakos was the favorite and he proved it. Boyan Yordanov from Olympiakos is unanimously elected as MVP of the match.
Despite the final score 3:0, the match was not easy for Olympiakos. In the first set the Finikas took a small lead (5:7). The lead began to grow so the difference reached 5 points (8:13) and later 6 (12:18). Olympiakos reduce the difference at 17:21, soon after thanks to Yordanov the difference was -2 (19:21). Finikas SYROS had a chance to win the set at 21:24. Yordanov won two points for Olympiakos and after one more point for Olympiakos it was 24:24. At 27:26 for Olympiakos Kovacevic made a mistake and gave point to Olympiakos.
In the second set Finikas was competitive even managing to lead 14:15. But the Finikas could not find a way to stop the MVP of the finals, Boyan Yordanov. The Bulgarian put Olympiakos ahead with 17-16, he made two attacks against at the 21-20. After 23:20 Olympiakos took the second set easily.
The Finikas was leading in the third set wit 8:10, 12-16 and 14-18. The Olympiakos soon tied 18:18 and Yordanov give Olympiacos lead 20:19 opening wide the way for the title. The Finikas lowered from 22:19 to 22:21, but Olympiacos had match point at 24:21 and the final touch came from Boyan Yordanov who shaped the final score 25:22.
