I would like to thank the local authorities here in Thessalia for their help and support in hosting this tournament. The aim of the Hellenic Volleyball Federation is to bring Volleyball close to all of our communities and this is something we are doing by coming here for the second time this year” said HVBF Board member Christos Vogiatzis.

We have had some problems with injuries but the guys retained in the group will be doing their best” says head coach Alekos Leonis. “Finland is the clear-cut favorite of the Pool, so I believe that we will fight with Montenegro for the second rank even though Romania is a strong team too”.

The Mayor of Trikala, Christos Lappas, and the Governor of Thessalia, Kostas Agorastos, did welcome all delegations and wished the best of luck to all participating teams.

CEV Board member and Supervisor Margaret Ann Fleming of Scotland concluded: “I am honored to represent the CEV here. The organizers have been doing their best and I have seen a lot of progress in the gym since I came for an inspection visit this summer. Good luck to all”.
