Imoco Volley Conegliano expectedly advanced to the final of the 2021 Italian Women’s Coppa Italia Frecciarossa in Rimini. However, the undefeated team in all competitions this season had to heavily sweat to prevail in the semifinal battle against Suagella Monza: 3-1 (25-17, 26-28, 25-14, 25-20). With 29 points, Paola Egonu pushed Imoco to the opportunity to defend the trophy. Monica De Gennaro was amazing, making 93 % reception (15 digs, 80 % perfect).
In the second semifinal, Igor Gorgonzola Novara beat Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri in 4 sets as well. Belgian Britt Herbots top-scored the winning side with 18 points, while American Micha Hancock served, watch out, as many as 9 aces! Stefania Sansonna had 82 % reception (34 digs, 3 errors, 74 % perfect).
