Santo Versace
Santo Versace, entrepreneur of the first order in the fashion industry and figure symbol of Made in Italy was named as the president of the COL.
At his side will be Massimo Achini, president of the Italian Sports Center, and lawyers Giovannella D’Andrea, Daniela Maini and Salvatore Trifirò. The position of statutory auditor has been attributed to Alfio Molteni.
During the first meeting of the COL the organization plan of the executive committee has been approved, which will be directed by Adriano Pucci Mossotti, president of the Lombardy Region Committee of the FIPAV (Italian Volleyball Federation). Deputy Executive Director will be Piero Cezza, president of the Provincial Committee of Milan.
FIVB Women’s World Championship will be held in six Italian cities (Milan, Trieste, Verona, Modena, Rome and Bari) from September 23 to October 12, 2014, and with the participation of 24 national teams for a total of 103 matches.
The final phase and the awarding of medals will take place entirely in Milan.
