How was the love for volleyball born?

“I haven’t been sent to train by anyone, neither of my parents – but my dad is 1 meter and 96 cm high so from him I inherited a quality that helps me a lot! It was all about television: As many little girls, I didn’t miss even one episode of the cartoon Mila and Shiro (Japanese cartoon about little girl who’s father is not supportive of her volleyball playing). I started playing at six years and I never stopped.“

At the World Championships you have proven to be among the best attackers in the world. If you would received a proposal, would you play for a foreign team?

“I would estimate the offer and I would be ready to move away from Italy. Until recently ago, I blocked the idea of not having family close and not feeling their support.”

Have you ever suffered from one kind of intolerance?

„The one related the color of the skin? No, I didn’t experienced that kind of situation, but racism and the hostility are all around us. However, I would know how to react if I would been attacked: I just wouldn’t react. The uneducated people do not deserve attention and do not realize that, by their attitude, they prove to be lower, as well as miserable.“

Do you have a boyfriend?

“No, I recently closed a long story and now I’m single.”
