Igor Gorgonzola Novara defeated Imoco Volley Conegliano with 3-1 (25-16, 29-27, 23-25, 25-16) and both teams moved to the next stage of the CEV Champions League.
Match in Novara was finished after 110 minutes and the home team dominated in block (10) and in attack (51%).
Paola Egonu was the top scorer with 29 points but the MVP was Cristina Chirichella who scored 14 points which 6 are from the block. Celeste Plak also scored 14 points for the winning team.
Croatian attacker Samanta Fabris added 15 points for Imoco followed by Kimberly Hill who scored 13 points.
In Pool B, Novara finished at the first place with 14 points while Imoco Volley at the end scored 13 points and together with Volero ZURICH as the two best second-ranked teams moved to the final stage.
