The team from Hwaseong paid the price of ending No.2 in the Regular Season, losing Game 1 of the finals against the Pink Spiders which practically came right after they finished semifinal series against KGC Daejeon. It caused their main attacking power Madison Rishel to fail in the first game versus the Pink Spiders due to exhaustion. The U.S. import did score a game-high 28 points but by making only 38.3% attack. Thus, Rishel was criticized by the Altos coach Lee Jung-Chul after the match.
These critics have borne fruit and Rishel highly improved herself in Game 2, scoring 33 points and making 51.7% attack. Lee Jae-Yeong had 28 points for the Pink Spiders.
Since they prevailed in Game 2, the Altos made a break in the series and will have a chance to win the national title in the next two games at home.
