Puerto Rico and Mexico to Compete for the Title at the NORCECA Women’s Final Four

Puerto Rico triumphed over Cuba in straight sets (25-16, 25-22, 25-19) at the Salvador Dijols Coliseum in Ponce, Puerto Rico. This victory propelled Puerto Rico into the championship match against Mexico.

Puerto Rico led the match in attacks (40-26), blocks (11-9), and serves (8-2), although they committed more errors (20-16). Top scorers for Puerto Rico were Diana Reyes with 15 points and Grace López with 12 points. Greisy Fine led Cuba with 11 points.

Mexico also secured a spot in the final by sweeping Costa Rica with a dominant serving performance, recording 11 aces in the first set. Mexico excelled in attacks (37-19), blocks (9-3), and serves (17-6). Uxue Guereca led Mexico with 15 points, while Karina Flores Gamez contributed 14 points. María Alfaro and Tamara Espinosa were the top scorers for Costa Rica.

Mexico remains undefeated in the tournament and will face Puerto Rico in the championship match, while Costa Rica will compete against Cuba for third place.
