The aftermath of the 2020 CEV U20 Men’s Volleyball European Championship in the Czech Republic might cost the federation of this country organizing the next continental championship for seniors.

According to the information which Gian Luca Pasini revealed in his blog, failing to secure complete safety from the coronavirus to the participants of the recently held U20 men’s EuroVolley, which they organized, might cost the Czech Volleyball Federation (ČVS) losing the organization of the 2021 men’s EuroVolley for seniors. Actually, this country is to co-host the tournament with Poland, Finland, and Estonia.

What’s clear is that national teams that had players infected with the COVID-19 upon returning home from the U20 European Championship complained to the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) over the organization of the tournament.
