Leap
One volleyball movie will run for the most famous and prestigious award in the world entertainment industry – Oscar. The movie in question is “Leap” and is based on true stories from different eras of the China Women’s National Team, which is considered a spiritual symbol for the country.
The movie that summarizes 40 years of the history of the Chinese team recorded a huge success in cinemas in this Asian country after release in January, grossing nearly € 105 million at the box offices. By this, it is the fifth most viewed movie this year in China.
“Leap” was selected by the Chinese authorities to compete for an Oscar 2021 in the category for the Best Foreign Film.
