“The first thing you notice is how huge the volleyball is in Poland. The audience comes in large numbers to the games and the players are celebrities. You can see that everything around volleyball is taken very seriously here” said the coach.
Benne spent Friday visiting Skra Belchatów, Wytze Kooistra‘s team that battles for places fifth to eight.
“It is a pity that they are no longer in the race for the title, because he plays for a really big club. We talked about the upcoming period with the national team, the plans, how we both stand there and so on.“
On Saturday the coach watched Rob Bontje and his team Jastrzebski Wegiel.
“With Rob I discussed things extensively, as he is the captain of the national team. We discussed the program and the plans for the future. It was good talking to these guys this weekend. I’m taking another step in my preparation and I am satisfied” Benne concluded.
