Veteran middle blocker Annerys Vargas, who enjoyed a consistent season while representing the Dominican Republic at several international events, including the FIVB World Grand Prix, has been named her country's Player of the Year

The selection of Vargas, who is currently playing for Baki-Azeryol in the Azerbaijan Super League, was announced by the Women’s Program of the Dominican Volleyball National Federation today.
Vargas, 32, and listed at 1.94 meters tall, played internationally in Puerto Rico, Spain, Turkey and Brazil before signing to play this year in Azerbaijan.
