Egypt and Botswana won their respective matches in the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championships Qualifiers Africa Pool “U” at Moi International Sports Center Arena in Nairo.

The mighty Egyptians breezed past inexperienced Zambia 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15) in the first match of day. The victory saw Egypt bring their win-loss victory in the tournament to 2-0 while Zambia dropped to 0-2.

Botswana achieved their second win of the Championships with 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21) victory against Cape Verde.

Botswana’s win-loss record now stands at 1-1, while Cape Verde dropped to 1-2 on the third day of the tournament.

Day four features two matches, as Egypt is set to play Botswana and Kenya will host Zambia.

Day 1 results:

Kenya – Cape Verde 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-15)

Botswana – Zambia 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-11)

Day 2 results:

Cape VerdeZambia 3-1 (25-21, 31-29, 27-29, 25-21),

EgyptKenya 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 25-20)

Day 3 results

EgyptZambia 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15)

BotswanaCape Verde 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21)
