The match, held at Palais des Sports in Yaoundé, allowed Cameroon to improve their win-loss ratio to 2-1, while Algeria dropped to 1-1 in two matches.
Rwanda also cruised past Gabon 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 24-26, 25-17) for their second win in three matches to improve to 2-1. Gabon’s record fell to 0-2.
The winner of the five-nation round robin tournament will secure a ticket at the FIVB Men’s World Championship from Aug. 30 to Sept. 21.
