The capital city of the Faroe Islands, Tórshavn, recently hosted the annual Technical Meeting whereby the Northern European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) defines its next goals and schedules its activities for the months to come. The meeting was attended by delegates representing the hosting country, plus Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and England, the very last addition to the NEVZA since this past year.

It was agreed that the NEVZA U17 and U19 Championships should remain an absolute priority for this Zonal Association and that the format adopted in the past editions needs to be maintained since these events have dramatically supported the development and promotion of Volleyball across the young generations in all member countries.

Denmark expressed its gratitude to the Faroe Islands for having played host this past November to the NEVZA U19 Championship for the first time in history with the event having turned into a major success not only for the hosting country but also for the whole NEVZA family.

Additional attention was given to the NEVZA Club Championship, a competition that has incredibly developed in the past years but that shall go for even more ambitious goals and figures in the near future.

NEVZA President Magnus Tausen was absolutely delighted with the impressive attendance and contribution provided by all member countries expressing his satisfaction for a very fruitful meeting.

A sightseeing tour of Tórshavn was organized at the end of the working sessions with all attendees (see picture) finally posing in front of Tinganes, i.e. the historic location of the Faroese government.
