Perrin, captain of the Canada Men at the Tokyo Olympics and one of not many players to represent the country in volleyball in two consecutive Olympics, has retired from the national team. Perrin had previously announced that the 2021 Summer Games would be his last appearance for the national team. Now, a 32-year-old outside hitter he just formalized his retirement, although he will continue to compete professionally on a club level. Perrin is currently a member of Russia’s Lokomotiv.

During his one-decade-long playing for Canada, he won the NORCECA Champions Cup and NORCECA Championship, both in 2015. Individually, Perrin was named Best Outside Hitter in the second of these two tournaments.
