A little more than a month after winning the national cup, Crvena zvezda reached the championship title after the victory in Game 5 of the 2021/22 Banka Poštanska štedionica Superliga playoff finals against the reigning champions Ub. The final series of the 3rd-seed and 4th-seed sides was filled with intensity: the former took the lead, Ub fought back with 2 victories and pushed their opponents against the wall. Last week in Belgrade, Crvena zvezda earned to play a decider, the 5th match, which they won quite dominantly and got crowned titleholders for the 28th time in the club history.

The big handicap for Ub was the absence of their captain Ljiljana Ranković, who was injured in Game 4. The most efficient player on the winning side today was Bosnian Dajana Bošković, who collected 13 points.
