The first leg in one of the semifinal clashes, between Macedonia and Montenegro is scheduled for July 10, starting at 20:00 local time at the Boris Trajkovski sports hall inSkopje.
As announced before the start of the season, this edition of the men’s European League will feature home-and-away semifinals and final, unlike previous years, when a Final Four tournament was held at a single venue.
As winner of Pool A, Montenegro will have the home court advantage in the second leg of its semifinal encounter with Pool B runner-up Macedonia. This match will take place on Wednesday, July 16, at 20:00 local time at the Mediteranski Sportski Centar in Budva.
Pool A runner-up Greece is set to entertain Pool B winner Sloveniain the first leg of the other semifinal which will take place on Saturday, July 12, inThessaloniki. The return match inSlovenia will be held atMaribor’s Sportna Dvorana Ljudski Vrt, also on July 16 at 20:00 local time.
A draw was also held for the order of the two legs of the final. So the last battle for the European League title will start on July 22 or 23 in either Sloveniaor Greece and the 2014 winner will be crowned after the second final match on July 26 or 27 to be held in either Montenegro or Macedonia.
The golden set rule applied to all CEV home-and-away competitions since the start of the 2014-2015 season will also be in force for the European League semifinals and final, i.e. in case both teams win 3 points each from the two games, a golden set will be held immediately after the second set to determine the winner.
