Noliko MAASEIK
One of these initiatives is the so-called “youth player of the week” campaign, whereby a young guy from the youth division of the club is invited to join the major team for a home game played by Noliko. This young guy has the unique opportunity to visit the dressing room, join the line-up before the start of the game and to sit on or close to the bench during the match.
Last week 11-year old Dries op’t Rood enjoyed this privilege for the Champions League home game with CSKA SOFIA. Being that close to his idols, Dries reveals: “I was very nervous at the beginning but all players were really friendly to me. It was just fantastic to enter the Lotto Dôme together with the team and sit that close to the bench. I was very happy that I could stand next to my favorite player of Noliko, libero Bert Derkoningen”.
