Smilen Mlyakov didn’t play volleyball professionally last season, but remained active. This time in another sport.
A 34-year-old opposite hitter, who won the title in Italy with Diatec Trentino in 2008, began to play basketball.
Mlyakov, a former player of Bulgarian teams CSKA Sofia and Levski Ball Sofia, Greek O.P. Rethymno, French Beauvais Oise Université Club, Italian Trentino, Polish AZS Częstochowa and Iranian Kalleh Sports Club joined the team in the National Amateur Basketball League of Bulgaria, already making his debut.
