USA processed 288 international transfers for season 2015/2016

USA Volleyball has processed 288 international transfer certificates (198 females, 90 males) allowing United States citizens to compete in foreign professional volleyball leagues for the 2015/2016 season.

On the women’s side, athletes have transferred to play in 28 different countries with Germany attracting 38 players and France 15. Italy has nine transfers, and eight of the athletes are U.S. Women’s National Team athletes. Five of the eight transfers to Turkey are members of the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Among the popular destinations for U.S. men’s international transfers include Germany with 15 athletes and Finland with 10 transfers. Overall, USA Volleyball has processed men’s transfers to 25 different countries.
