Cuban Nancy Carrillo continued to be an enigma to opponents as she poured 17 points to home team Bayi in Round 5 – 3-0 (26-24, 25-17, 25-22).
Beijing follow Tianjin in the table as they confirmed second place with 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-20) win over Shanghai.
Qiao Ting topped Beijing scorers with 17 points. On the other side, Canadian Sarah Pavan had 16.
Despite having one of the best outside hitters in the world, American Nicole Fawcett, Fujian remained winless in Top 8 stage. She scored 17 points, but her team lost to Zhejiang (3-0).
Jiangsu prevailed over Liaoning, in away match (3-1) as the fourth team to score win in this round.
