It will be the third term of Davarzani at that position which allows him to run the Federation in the next four years. He gained an overwhelming majority of 41 votes out of maximum 42 beating four other candidates in election battle.
By starting his ninth consecutive year of presidency, Davarzani remained the 16 president for Iran’s Volleyball Federation since it became independent sports federation, in 1957.
The most desirable objective of Davarzani at the helm of Federation will be to achieve qualification of Iran’s Men’s National Team for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
