Greece edged Denmark in straight sets; the Danes fought back from 6:15 to 16:17 in the first set, as Trine Kjelstrup and Eva Mielskov scored four points and Greece made some errors.
However, Greece regrouped and responded with an 8:1 break to seal the set at 25-17. The plot did not change in set 2 and 3 as Greece accelerated the pace after the second technical time-out finishing it off in straight sets with Anthi Vasilantonaki top scoring with 16 points.
