The event was attended by many journalists from Alsace, the local sponsor Radio Virgin, and was chaired by Organizing Director Sylvia Zatti who shared some information she got while attending the seminars organized this past June in conjunction with the DOL held in Vienna. That special evening started out by showing a video clip summing up the highlights of the past season followed by another presentation that recapped the impressive figures – especially in terms of TV rates and spectators’ attendance – registered last year. The club then presented the official sponsors contracted for the coming season as well as the official team uniform.
Head coach Magali Magail introduced to the media the 13 players included in the roster, with two foreign additions since last year, namely Yulia Ferulik and Lana Dabic, plus the youngster and baby of the group, 14-year old Lara Davidovic, a home-grown player of ASPTT MULHOUSE.
Ms. Zatti shared some info about the opponents in the prelims – namely Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL, Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO and Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI – before the head coach answered the questions submitted by the media.
“I hope to qualify for the Playoffs 12 but to achieve this goal we need to score two wins over our opponents from Romania” said Magail. “This looks within our reach especially after I could scout their play as they joined some friendly tournaments played here in France in the past weeks.”
The event ended with a cocktail and the players enjoying a photo session in front of the official backdrop of the competition.
