Young opposite arrived this summer in Poland, which is her first foreign club in career. And she couldn’t imagine better start of the season. Chemik Police has seven wins, out of seven games! But, it wasn’t everything sweet and shiny for Bjelica at the beginning:

It was very difficult. When I just remember the days I arrived here after European Championship… First time in Poland, left home, new city, new club, new players… Everything was completely different” – said Bjelica at the beginning of the interview, and then added: “Things got easier when the season started, but I played badly in first games. Support of other players helped me a lot, especially from Maja Ognjenovic. And, today life just looks great.”

Chemik Police occupies first place on the standings and many people already expect that this club stays there until the end of the league:

We all expect that. Our biggest wish is to win a double crown (Championship and Cup). So, it isn’t really important to be first placed in the league. What matters is to be first after the play-offs. That’s when everything counts.”

And, it would be good to mention that Chemik was promoted to first division very this year and immediately became number 1 in Poland!

Organization is superb. We live in Szczecin which is 20 km away from Police. People already know us, volleyball is national sport in Poland. Atmosphere in and around the club is great and we all wish it would stay like that” – stated Serbian player who won four double crowns in homeland with Crvena zvezda. Maybe she will bring luck to Chemik as well:

“I am used to trophies. If they come, I would easily deal with them. Just, let them come to Chemik Police” – concluded Bjelica interview for Sportski žurnal.
