The fans in Poland expected their Men’s national team to qualify for the Final Six of the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World League but their favorite players failed to do so. And some of them, like Dawid Konarski, are aware they could have done more in the Preliminary Round.

By losing to the U.S. National Team 3-1 in the last round of Week 3, Poland missed the opportunity to become one of the six teams competing in the final tournament in Brazil.

“The fact we didn’t advance to the final tournament in Curitiba means a break for the players of the Polish National Team and the possibility to focus only on one thing. Now, we have no other worries. We’re hosting the European Championships, so we’ll be here all the time. We won’t go anywhere, fly anywhere. We have a moment of rest before we start preparations in full steam. There are nine matches behind us from which we’ll learn as much as possible. At the European Championship, we’ll have to play much better. We have had some very good matches this season, but also very weak ones… We lost to the USA and we can only watch Final Six on TV,“ Konarski said for siatka.org.
