Aleksandr-Volkov
The 2012 Olympic champion Volkov will play for Zenit next season, a source close to the Kazan team told RIA Novosti. Last season, the 35-year-old middle blocker spent in Dinamo-LO. In case this transfer becomes official, Volkov will return to Zenit after five years. While playing for the giants from the Tatarstan region, between 2011 and 2015, Volkov became the champion of Russia three times and the winner of the CEV Champions League in 2012.
Earlier, Zenit extended contracts with two players covering the same position as Volkov – Artem Volvich and Aleksey Kononov.
