Zenit played a convincing game from the very start. Matthew Anderson led the team to a 0:3 lead. Kuzbass often made mistakes from the service line, and it wasn’t hard for the guest to finish the first set 17:25.
The second set reminded of the first in the start. By the second tehnical time out it was 12:16 for KAZAN. Kuzbass unexpectedly tied the game 17:17, but that was all that the home players coud do. Nikolay Apalikov scored and Zenit regained their lead to win the set 22:25.
The third set it was all Zenit. They closed it with a huge 13:25 win.
