One of the best male volleyball liberos in the world, Jénia Grebennikov, is officially announced as the new reinforcement of Zenit Saint Petersburg.
The France National Team player Grebennikov will continue his career at the Russian vice-champions Zenit St. Petersburg by which the rumors of the transfer from Italy’s Leo Shoes Modena are confirmed. As part of the ’Les Bleus’, a 30-year-old libero won the FIVB World League twice (2015, 2017) and the CEV European Championship once (2015). Grebennikov has been recognized as Best Libero of various tournaments – twice in the FIVB World League (2015, 2016) and the CEV Champions League (2016, 2017), and once at the CEV European Championship (2017). And that is just a part of his individual recognitions.
Jénia will play in the country of his origin for the first time in his career. His father Boris was a former Russian (Soviet) volleyball player and coach.
