Ary Graca, President of the FIVB, will travel to Russia where he will meet Vitaly Mutko, Russian Minister of Sport. They will discuss the possibility of hosting the World Championship 2018.
“We have already held a meeting with Vitaly Mutko to discuss some details, but now he will meet the FIVB President. They will talk about every detail and after that meeting it will clear if Russia can organize the World Championship 2018” said Stanislav Shevchenko, President of the Russian Volleyball Federation.

They have decided about women so fast because the organisator is Japan. Russia has similar opinion to Iran just because of war in Ukraine. They must persuade FIVB and show conditions, halls etc.
