Russian team were much better in this match. Canada couldn’t find any solution for rival’s block.
Alekno’s side were leading all the time in the first set. Tetyukhin and Muserskiy were the players who always had solutions for Canada‘s defense. Hoag’s team managed somehow to get closer 23:21, but after a good attack and good serve of Grankin, Russia took the lead.
In the second set, Canadian team stopped playing good after the first TTO and mighty Russia took the opportunity to smash the rival 25-16!
Hoag’s side didn’t want to surrender that easy in the third set! They gave the strongest resistance in the match, were equally good as Russia, but obviously Alekno’s side is more experienced team and they desereved the victory!
