When he was leaving Zenit Kazan last summer, Russian player received several offers, while one of them came from the last expecting place – Poland! You are all very familiar of the fact that Alexey Spiridonov is probably the least favorite volleyball player among the Polish fans, while he also does not hide his animosity toward the Polish volleyball players.

In the interview for sport.business-gazeta.ru, Spiridonov was asked which clubs contacted him apart from Enisey last summer.

“I will not name the clubs, but I can tell you that there were a few options in Russioa, while I also received an offer from Poland… Really! But, I am not like them, so I refused the offer. I decided to accept the call from Enisey, as I liked the team and the coach.”
