Khamuttskikh, a two-time Olympic Games silver medalists and current assistant coach with Belogorie Belgorod, commented Muserskiy’s statement that everything has been done to ensure that Russian volleyball finally dies.
„In this case, I don’t know how final is the decision to treat those players who for some reason cann’t play for the national team as foreigners. I think Dmitriy’s emotional reaction is connected with this moment. I, for example, don’t understand how this is possible in principle. I don’t think that volleyball in Russia is dying, but, ultimately, everyone has their own point of view. As for my team, I don’t know how it will look in the future because, until now, neither the coaching staff nor the players that will be play next season have been determined. Time will tell,“ Khamuttskikh stated for sovsport.ru.
This what former Russian Women’s volleyball star Ekaterina Gamova had to say on this.
