The Russian Men’s Volleyball National Team competed in the Wagner Memorial in Poland without three major players of which some of them will play in the 2017 CEV European Championship but some won’t.

“Kliuka missed the Wagner Memorial because of a slight injury, which was a planned decision, as we did not want to risk it. It could have aggravated the player’s injury, but now he is ready to continue preparations for the European Championship. Also, we will have middle blocker Ilya Vlasov back on training. Poletaev will not be back. He has a different level of injury,” the Secretary General of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Yaremenko, said to „R-Sport“.

This is the estimated time of Poletaev’s return to the field.
