After beating Nova Novokuybishevsk on the road by a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-16) in Round 10 of Superliga, the defending champions Zenit Kazan achieved the 62nd consecutive win in Superliga to preserve their invincibility that began in November 2015. Maksim Mikhailov topped Zenit with 19 points, while Romanas Shkulyavichus made 11 for Nova.
Belogorie keep breathing down Zenit’s neck. The team coached by the Romanian Gheorghe Creţu swept Kuzbass Kemerovo to get a 9-1 record. Konstantin Bakun highlighted Belogorie with 16 points. Viktor Poletaev scored 17 for the losing side.
Dinamo Moscow downed Enisey Krasnoyarsk in straight sets with the French middle blocker Kévin Le Roux making his debut for the team from the Russian capital after finishing rehabilitation for the back injury. He scored 6 points (3 kill blocks) and played from the beginning to the end of an encounter in Moscow. Pavel Kruglov was the best scorer in Dinamo with 17 points. Aleksey Spiridonov ’Spirik’ scored 16 for Enisey.
It seems that highly reinforced Zenit Sankt Peterburg caught their momentum as they achieved the second win in a row to reach a 5-5 record.
