Thailand as the host, China, USA, Russia and Brazil. Those are the 5 teams that will certainly play at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix 2016 Final Tournament.
There are several teams that are still fighting for the last remaining ticket for the Final Tournament, while two of them are Japan and Serbia which faced each other this Saturday. At the end it was Serbia which prevailed after a tie-break. Believe it or not, but this was the 5th consecutive match for Serbia that ended after tie-break! The top scorer in the winning side was Brankica Mihajlović who scored 24 points.
At the same time, Brazil defeated Belgium, despite losing the opening set. Still, the green and yellow crew then turned on their engines and scored a comfortable win. Jaqueline Carvalho marked this match with 17 points.
