Coach Carlo Parisi wishes to have one good match for Czech Republic as his team came on the losing end in their match against Turkey 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-15) in Pool I of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix on Saturday.

Parisi and Havlickova

Czech Republic captain Aneta Havlickova: We played better than yesterday and made less mistakes. It has been a good match. Turkey was good and a very strong team. We hope to play against them in the future in Europe.

Czech Republic coach Carlo Parisi: As the team captain said before, we played a little better than yesterday. Our team is not in a good moment, we need one good match to boost our team’s confidence.

Turkey player Neriman Ozsoy: Congratulations to Czech Republic for a very good performance and for playing well in the first set. Our team was down by six points and managed to come back and gain our rhythm. We respect them for their good block and defence. They are a very strong team.

Turkey coach Massimo Barbolini: I am very happy that we can get 3 points that enhances our team’s chances to get into the final six. After the first set, we played good volleyball. Czech Republic have strong double blocks and it was a good test for our team. We made little mistakes and had only missed two to three blocks.

For our next match, China have many good players and they have a good coach. China are already very strong and in few years, China will be one of the best teams in the Olympics. Playing against China could help us improve our performance. We are currently developing our level to prepare for the Olympics.
