The head coach of Ziraat Bankasi, Fernando Munoz Benitez, commented: “Of course we feel very good as we won an important game at the start of the Champions League. I was expecting more resistance from our opponents and a closer game but we controlled the match tactically very well and everything went just fine from start to end.”
The team captain Hüseyin Koc said: “That was a very important match for the history of our club. This was the first ever CL game in the club history and we made a great start. Like all other participants of the Champions League, PARIS Volley is a very tough team. I am very happy for the three points and I would like to congratulate my teammates and the organisation of Ziraat Bankasi. I strongly believe that this is the level that our club fits to and I hope to carry the team to an even better position. We will do our best to qualify for the Final Four. I hope to succeed and to achieve this goal.”
